Guy the Gorilla Print

This statue of Guy, by sculptor David Wynne was erected in Crystal Palace Park in 1961.

Guy was a western lowland gorilla.  He arrived on 5 November 1947 (hence his name), a baby weighing just 23lb and become London Zoo's most famous resident until his death in 1978.
